HISTORY

In November 1999, Matt and Deb Wisotsky attended a concert at the now defunct 7th House in Pontiac, Michigan.   As long time fans of the Pittsburgh based jam band, Rusted Root, they jumped at the opportunity to see lead singer Michael Glabicki perform in an intimate setting.

Little did they know that the opening act, New York based singer/songwriter Mike Errico, would change their lives forever.  They became instant fans, chatted a bit after the show and, after departing, Matt and Deb left the show wondering if the New York native would come back to the Detroit area.

Matt and Mike corresponded via E-mail over the next year until one day Matt received a message from Mike’s booking agent.  “If you want to see Mike back in Detroit,”  Dan Ostrowski wrote, “why don’t you book him yourself?”

And the rest is history.

Serious Artists No Attitude Please was formed as a one time thing.  Matt Wisotsky wanted to put together a show that the artist and those attending would never forget.  After months of preparation, an abandoned book binding building in the old black bottom district of Detroit was transformed to a 150 seat, standing room only venue.

Riding the high of their first production, SANAP continued to grow as a production, promotion and artist representation company over the next ten years.

With nearly 100 productions under their belt, SANAP approaches each show with the same determination as they did from day one: work with local and national talent and give them and those in attendance the experience of a lifetime.
